A Conversation with Sue Glader author of "Nowhere Hair" talking with our Children about Cancer

Tuesday, May 10th 9:30 - 11 am
Our children are often left out of the challenging conversations,especially when shock and fear and uncertainty overwhelm us. But children need to be part of the family cancer journey AND they need to be informed in the most loving and conscious way.
Sue Glader is a magnificent gift. Her wisdom and sensitivity help us with our children when cancer rocks their world. She knows and speaks eloquently about guilt, blame, body image changes, fear and anger. Sue guides parents and loved ones to communicate with children, providing comfort and solace when we need it most.Sue's exquisite book is her personal response to her cancer diagnosis when she was 33 and the mother of a wee toddler."Nowhere Hair" is a story about fear and sadness, being silly and wearing crazy hats, and ends with the idea that what is inside of us is far more important than how we look on the outside. Please join Sue for an important conversation.
Reservations are necessary. Please email Nancy@NancysList.org.www.NancysList.org

Meditation & Satsang Sundays from 12-2pm;
April 24th, May 8 & 22, June 5th & 19th
Please note: Thursday evenings Satsang begins on July 21st and continues every Thursday (guru day) from 6:30 to 7:45pm
Satsang is the transmission of ancient spiritual knowledge, combined with group sharing and discussion around the given knowledge of that particular day. All ancient knowledge taught is many thousands of years old and has been passed on directly from personal studies with a recognized spiritual master and saint from southern India, Sri Kaleshwar of Penukonda. Meditation is the act of using mantra or prayer in a repeated manner to bring silence and peace to the mind, the body and soul. Meditation done in a group setting is many times more powerful than when done alone. By deepening your practice of meditation, deeper levels of inner silence begins to develop and newly found clarity and calm grows stronger, taking over the 'chatter' and disturbance of the over-active mind.
